My landscape deconstructed series come from my process of painting landscapes on paper, either plein air or from photos I’ve taken while hiking. I then hand tear the paintings, deconstructing what is seen, then collaged them on paper. This allows the viewer to see the new landscape, not from reality but in a new form, allowing a more creative interpretation of the landscape.
